🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1962, an airfield control tower operator at Chase Field in Beeville, Texas, observed a luminous object with a tail. The report describes a round object the size of a pinhead, green in color with a bright orange tail. The object appeared at a 70-degree elevation and moved in a straight line northward, gradually descending to 20 degrees over three to five seconds. No sound was heard during the observation, which surprised the witness.
The official conclusion of the report classifies the phenomenon as an astronomical meteor, due to its similarities with a meteor. Although no photos were taken and no optical aids were used, the witness accurately described the object's size, color, and trajectory. This case, though brief, was officially recorded by military authorities and filed under Project 10073, which collected information on unidentified flying objects.
