Summary

In July 1962, a glowing object with blinking lights was spotted by several people in New Jersey, sparking a brief UFO "flap." It was described as a small blimp with red and yellow lights, moving slowly across the sky. Initially thought to be a UFO, it was later identified as an advertising plane towing a 39-foot electric sign with 245 lights. The plane and sign were owned by a Pennsylvania firm and used to promote ice cream. Despite the explanation, some witnesses insisted the object had unusual features, such as an advanced design and movements resembling spacecraft.
