🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1962, a woman from North Hollywood in Los Angeles observed two aerial objects described as large yoyos capable of carrying 40-50 passengers. Seen at night, these objects emitted lights that blinked at a frequency similar to Grimes lights but much brighter. Additionally, they expelled flames in the opposite direction of flight and produced a sound similar to a propeller-driven aircraft. Although the possibility of conventional aircraft was considered, the description included unusual details such as flame discharge and hovering movement. The official report could not confirm the nature of the objects due to the lack of physical evidence or photographs.
The objects were observed individually, first at 04:20 and then at 04:45 UTC, from a location four miles south of the Lockheed air terminal. The witness, supported by her husband and daughter, described how the objects moved in circles, one counterclockwise and the other clockwise, and how one of them hovered in the air for 20-30 seconds. Despite the official report concluding they were likely aircraft, the details of the objects did not match what would be expected from a conventional aircraft, especially the sound and flame emission. The investigation failed to identify the origin of the objects, and the case remains unresolved.
