🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Evanston, Illinois, reported in July 1962 the observation of a luminous cylindrical object resembling a 707 aircraft. The object, with bright yellow lights, was moving at low altitude, between 500 and 2500 feet, and performing maneuvers typical of an aircraft. An additional witness, the observer's husband, confirmed the sighting. Although initially considered a balloon or astronomical phenomenon, the evaluation concluded it was an aircraft. No photographs were taken, and the report notes the object made no noise, surprising the witnesses. The case was documented by Project 10073 of the U.S. Air Force.
