🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1962, a witness in Fairborn, Ohio, observed a fluorescent object in the sky for 35 minutes. The object was described as bright, yellow-orange in color, and moving slowly toward the west-northwest. The witness compared it to a golf ball and saw it through binoculars. The report notes that the object moved smoothly, made a 1000-foot left turn, and disappeared below the horizon. An analyst visited the witness to verify the direction and confirmed the sighting.
The U.S. Air Force technical report includes details such as the exact location, time of the sighting, duration, and description of the object. Although no definitive conclusion was reached, explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were ruled out. The witness also confirmed having seen the same object the previous night, suggesting a consistent observation. Despite the detailed description, the object remains unidentified.
