Summary

In August 1962, a lookout in the National Forest near Harvey Mountain spotted twelve parachute-like objects falling to the ground over a 5 to 7-mile radius. Pieces of white tinfoil were recovered and sent for analysis. The report suggests it might have been a chaff drop, a material used to confuse radar systems. Despite the clear sighting description, the exact nature of the objects remains unresolved. The recovered fragments measured half an inch by six inches, adding to the mystery. The lack of photos and the ambiguity in the conclusions reflect the difficulty in determining whether this was a natural phenomenon or something unknown.
