🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1962, a witness in Antigo, Wisconsin, observed a cylindrical object approximately 60 feet in diameter and 100 feet long. The object, with a fluorescent blue-green color, was seen tumbling end over end for about 10 to 15 seconds. It suddenly appeared in the sky, lighting up the windshield of the observer's car. Although it initially resembled a burning aircraft, there was no radar contact or associated sound.
Post-observation analysis suggested it could have been a meteor, though its speed was considered slow for one. No radar data or other evidence confirmed a conventional explanation. The lack of additional information and the delayed report complicated further evaluation. The case remains unresolved, with the object classified as an "Astronomical Meteor" in the official report.
