🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1962, a 10-year-old girl in Kansas City observed a round object with yellow-orange flames that suddenly brightened and then went out. An hour later, her father saw a similar phenomenon. Although initially considered a balloon or astronomical event, the data matched the description of a jet aircraft with afterburner. The duration and trajectory of the object supported this theory. The observation was reported by a credible witness, adding credibility to the report.
The report included meteorological data and visibility details, which helped rule out other explanations. Despite the lack of photographs, the description and consistency between both testimonies led to classifying the event as an aircraft. This case is an example of how UFO reports often resolve with conventional explanations, although they retain a sense of mystery.
