🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1962, a witness in Barbados reported a bright blue-green object falling toward Earth. He described it as similar to a skyrocket firework, but without a tail and descending vertically. Although no photos were taken and the duration was not recorded, the report suggests it could have been a meteor. The description matches typical meteor characteristics, though its vertical descent was unusual.
The sighting was reported to NORAD, which was then investigating falling objects, such as the Sputnik IV fragment that fell in Wisconsin. Although the exact landing location of the Barbados object was not confirmed, the testimony was considered as part of a broader effort to understand unidentified objects. The precise impact location remains unknown, but the report concluded it was likely an astronomical phenomenon.
