Summary

In December 1960, a teacher in Detroit observed a greenish luminous object descending at an angle. He described it as a large disc-like shape, not a point of light, and estimated it was moving at about 10 degrees from the vertical. The object came down to about 20 degrees elevation before it disappeared. The witness, a physicist, noted it was not a typical meteorite and speculated it might be related to a rocket or space debris moving at high speed.

The teacher asked his students and one confirmed seeing the same object. This student, located a few miles west, believed the object was heading toward Telegraph near the Detroit River. Although their distance estimates differed, both agreed on the appearance and trajectory. The teacher insisted it was not a flying saucer, but a physical phenomenon with high temperature, possibly a space fragment moving at high velocity.
