🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A star-like object was observed in the Atlantic on October 16, 1962. A military aircraft visually detected it for 75 seconds, describing it as a bright object moving from the northeast to the southwest, roughly toward Jupiter. Despite clear weather and no radar contact, observers could not identify its nature. The object moved through a 30-degree arc in the sky, suggesting rapid movement, though exact speed was not recorded. Reports indicated it was not a known satellite or balloon.
The lack of precise data and the inability to confirm its identity led to the conclusion that it could not be evaluated with certainty. Although the object appeared similar to a distant aircraft, its trajectory did not match that of a satellite or balloon. This case, like many others, was filed as insufficient for a definitive evaluation, leaving open questions about its true nature.
