🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1962, an observer in Donaldsville, Louisiana, reported a bright celestial phenomenon with a circular shape. The object descended to about 30 degrees elevation and made an irregular course, leaving large vapor trails behind. It disappeared to the south at a 50-degree angle and at great speed. Visibility was good with scattered clouds, allowing for a clear observation of the event.
Authorities considered several possibilities, including balloons, aircraft, and astronomical phenomena, but there were no missile launch records at that time. However, the report did not include all possible launches. Given the object's behavior, it was concluded to be a possible missile launch not documented. The case remains classified as "possible missile," without a definitive resolution.
