UFOs Photographed in Finland During an Eclipse

Summary

In June 1954, during a solar eclipse, several photographers in Helsinki captured images of an unidentified object in the sky. The photos showed a round object with an illuminated edge, as if sunlight was reflecting off a hard surface, and a dark center. Experts consulted ruled out the moon or a cloud. One image stood out for its clarity and lighting effect, sparking curiosity and debate.

A few days later, in Maarianhamina, another object was photographed immediately after the eclipse. This time, the object had a cigar shape and appeared in several consecutive shots. In July, a sighting in Pulkkila reported an elongated object flying at high altitude, visible for several minutes and moving at a speed similar to a plane. These cases, though not officially evaluated, add pieces to the UFO mystery of the 1950s.
