UFO seen in Moorehead Minnesota with smoke and flames

Summary

In October 1962, a witness in Moorehead, Minnesota observed an object with blue-white flames and a lot of smoke slowly descending toward the horizon. The object, comparable in size to a small aircraft, was seen for one to two minutes. Although the witness could not describe it in detail, they noted it followed a straight path toward the east-northeast. Investigators considered the possibility of a meteor or a decaying satellite, but no conclusive data was found to confirm any hypothesis.
