Summary

In June 1954, during a solar eclipse, unidentified flying objects were photographed in Helsinki, Finland. According to reports, a round object appeared in several images, but it was not the moon or a cloud. In one photo, the upper edge of the object was illuminated as if the sun were reflecting off a hard surface, and its center appeared as a dark blotch. Additionally, in Maarianhamina, a cigar-shaped object was captured immediately after the eclipse. These sightings sparked curiosity and debate, especially since witnesses insisted they were not common natural phenomena.

A few days later, in Pulkkiia, an elongated object was sighted flying at great height. It was described as grey from behind and very bright from the side, and remained visible for several minutes. In Norway and Austria, similar sightings were reported during the same period, including images of glowing discs taken from an airplane and a red object seen for two hours over the Tennen Mountains. Although unconfirmed, these events add another chapter to the history of UFO sightings in the 1950s.
