🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A UFO was observed in the Pacific in 1962, near the coordinates 40.03N 174.44W. According to the report, the object appeared as a long blue-green flame entering a cloud layer at around 4000 feet altitude, at a 30-degree angle and heading south. Although no photos were taken and the duration was not recorded, investigators concluded it was likely a meteor due to the flame description. The lack of precise data and the visual nature of the event made a more definitive evaluation difficult.
The report, classified under Project 10073, was sent to multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA, NORAD, and SAC. Despite the widespread distribution of the case, no definitive conclusion was reached. The object's description and behavior suggest a natural phenomenon, although the possibility of an unidentified aerial object was not completely ruled out.
