🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1962, a witness in Ashland, Oregon, observed a series of unusual luminous objects. Four bright, star-like objects were first seen in the sky before one disappeared and the remaining three scattered in different directions. The event lasted only three seconds, making precise identification difficult.
The Air Force concluded it was a bright meteor, or bolide. Although the witness mentioned a tail or exhaust, the overall description aligned with an astronomical event. No photos were taken and radar data was not available, limiting the ability to confirm other possibilities. The final classification was "Astronomical Meteor," ruling out balloons or aircraft.
