Large luminous mass falls in the Italian Alps

Summary

In December 1962, a nurse in Schlanders, Tyrol, observed a large luminous mass falling from the sky. The witness, from his hospital room, saw the object between 5 and 7 PM on the 18th of December. He could not see the object hit the ground because a balcony wall blocked most of his view. The report suggests it could be a meteor, though the possibility of a fallen satellite was also considered.
