Double UFO seen in Worcester Massachusetts

Summary

In December 1962, a 19-year-old student in Worcester, Massachusetts, observed two objects flying side by side and rotating around each other. The witness, from Wheelock College, described the objects as orange and yellowish, visible for 10 to 15 minutes. Although the report noted no air traffic in the area, investigators concluded there was insufficient data to determine if they were aircraft, balloons, or something else. The description of movements and rotation suggests it might have been a single object appearing as two.

Weather conditions indicated strong winds, leading to the possibility of a balloon released in Buffalo, Albany, or Westover AFB. However, there were no records of balloon launches on those dates. The Air Force concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon, but the nighttime observations and lack of air activity make this one of the most intriguing cases of the era.
