🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1962, a couple reported an unidentified flying object (UFO) during a fishing trip at Ox Bow Lake near Presque Isle, Wisconsin. The account describes a bright, football-shaped object emitting a gaseous glow in shades of blue, green, and yellow. The object moved at high speed in a straight, parallel path to the water's surface, without any signs of falling or deviation. Although the report was submitted years after the event, it was classified as "information only" due to the difficulty in verifying the details accurately.
The testimony was shared with military and civilian authorities, including then House Minority Leader Gerald Ford. Despite the lack of physical evidence or photographs, the couple's detailed and coherent account suggests a genuine and unexplained experience, not attributable to known natural or artificial phenomena. This case reflects the growing concern over UFO sightings in the 1960s and the interest in investigating them through legislative committees.
