🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1963, a pilot flying over Virginia observed a luminous object for 45 minutes. The sighting was recorded as a bright sphere varying in intensity, with occasional reddish glows. Initially thought to be a star, later analyses suggested an astronomical explanation. Vega or atmospheric inversion was considered as possible causes. The duration, direction, and movement of the object aligned with celestial behavior. Additionally, the star Spica was noted in the indicated direction, though with some uncertainty about its exact location.
