🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1963, a youth in Garden City, Michigan, observed a silver object with red tips and a blue-green exhaust. The object flew horizontally for five minutes, paused for ten seconds, and then vanished vertically. Initially dismissed by adults as nonsense, the sighting was eventually reported to the military. Investigators concluded it was an aircraft, attributing the unusual behavior to an optical illusion.
The official report lacked additional data or photos, and the witness delayed reporting the event for weeks. Despite the lack of clear evidence, the young observer showed interest in further investigation, even forming a UFO club. The military's response was generic, reiterating that there was no evidence UFOs were extraterrestrial spacecraft.
