🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1963, a glowing crescent-shaped object was spotted over the Hawaiian Islands, moving west at high altitude and speed. Air National Guard pilots and thousands of civilians observed it for several minutes, noting a vapor trail lighter than that of a jet. Some compared it to a rocket or space object. Initially thought to be astronomical, this was quickly dismissed. Confusion grew when a missile launch from Vandenberg was confirmed, but it remained unclear if this was the object seen.
