🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1963, a pilot reported a bright white object moving rapidly from east to west over the Pacific. The sighting occurred near the coordinates 34.57N 176.43W, at an altitude of 9,000 feet. The object, described as brighter than any star, was observed for three seconds before disappearing into the clouds. Although initially considered a meteor, the speed and direction of movement raised doubts.
The aircraft crew confirmed the object showed no signs of being a balloon or conventional aircraft. Despite an astronomical explanation being considered, the nature of the phenomenon remained unclear. This case, though brief, was included in military records as part of an aerial sighting report. The lack of images or additional data left open the possibility of it being an unusual phenomenon.
