🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1963, a 14-year-old boy in North Andover, Massachusetts, reported seeing two to three bright objects in the sky. According to his account, the objects circled each other, crossed paths, and then suddenly vanished. The young witness initially estimated they were three miles high and traveling at 1,000 miles per hour, though he later revised the speed to subsonic. The official report deemed the sighting inconsistent and unreliable, attributing this to the witness's age and lack of concrete data. Despite this, a committee reviewed the case and suggested it shouldn't be dismissed entirely due to insufficient follow-up.
The testimony included details like the direction of movement (ENE) and a description of the object as bright and circular. The boy also mentioned watching a movie about a UFO sighting that inspired him to report his experience. Although there were no photos or additional witnesses, the official report highlighted the need for more data for a precise evaluation. The case was filed as "insufficient information," but not entirely dismissed, leaving open the possibility that there was something worth investigating.
