🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1963, a luminous object was sighted in the sky over Texas, generating multiple reports from both civilian and military observers. The phenomenon was described as a bright, bluish-green object that turned white before fading. It was observed for between five seconds and one minute, and at one point appeared to split into two parts. Although some believed it could be a meteorite, a four-hour helicopter search yielded no results. Authorities concluded the sighting was consistent with satellite decay, specifically the Vostok 5 rocket body. The object's trajectory and behavior support this explanation.
