🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1963, a witness in Pearl River, New York, observed an object slowly moving across the sky, resembling a fixed star. The object, which made no sound, increased its brightness to that of Venus. Although its appearance resembled the ECHO satellite, it moved three times faster. The witness, along with his 11-year-old nephew, was waiting to see ECHO, which appeared a few minutes later. The sky was clear and cloudless.
The observation lasted about two minutes, and the object disappeared from view as it passed between trees. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft. However, the description and speed of the object did not match typical aircraft behavior, creating some uncertainty in the official evaluation.
