🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1963, a plant worker in Ludington, Michigan observed a bright object resembling a star moving rapidly from south to north at 4:15 AM. The witness watched it for two minutes and noted it did not appear on local radar. The object's description and path aligned with the V-193 airway, leading to the consideration that it might be an aircraft. Despite this, the mystery remains about the true nature of the object seen.
The witness's letter was sent to NASA and the Air Force, who concluded it was neither a satellite nor a balloon. However, no definitive answer was given, and the report ended with the label "Probably an aircraft". This case, though brief, shows how even seemingly simple observations can raise unanswered questions.
