🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A citizen of East Orange, New Jersey, reported in July 1963 an object that appeared every night around 9:45 PM, shining with brightness similar to the brightest star. The observer, a 68-year-old man experienced in astronomical observation, noted that the object moved southeast and disappeared to the south. This pattern persisted for more than a week, and on one occasion, the object unexpectedly changed direction, heading south instead of its usual path. The report includes details on the exact location, the duration of the observation (10 minutes), and testimonies from other residents who also saw it. The official conclusion of the case points to the object possibly being the ECHO I satellite, whose trajectories were known at the time.
