🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On July 19, 1963, a witness in Cooperstown, New York, observed a bright triangular object emitting an orange-yellow glow. The object had no additional lights and produced a sound similar to a commercial airliner. It traveled east to west in a straight line until, near the horizon, it made a left turn and performed a circular loop before disappearing in a hazy white light. Fifteen minutes later, a second luminous object shot across the treetops, leaving a trail, also moving east to west, with no sound.
Authorities considered the first object could be an aircraft landing, while the second might have been a searchlight, meteor, or jet. However, data was insufficient for a definitive conclusion. The detailed description from the witness, combined with the lack of sound in the second case, raised doubts about conventional explanations.
