🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1963, an officer aboard the merchant ship *Yugala* observed a bright object in the Pacific Ocean. The report describes a white ball with a conical tail, the lower part white and the upper part red, moving rapidly for three seconds. Although the initial report classified it as an astronomical phenomenon, such as a meteor, the detailed description suggests something more unusual. The estimated distance was 10 miles, and the object was bright enough to cast a conical reflection on the sea surface. The sighting was recorded by U.S. Air Force authorities, but no definitive conclusion was reached.
The report, part of Project 10073, was evaluated by multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA and the Army. Despite the precise description and exact location, no conclusive evidence of a threat or a conventional explanation was found. The case was filed without resolution, but it remains an example of how sighting reports are processed and analyzed by official institutions. The lack of photographs and the brief duration of the observation made any further evaluation speculative.
