🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1963, a young student in Morehead, Kentucky, observed an object in the night sky. He described a white point of light moving rapidly toward the southeast, without sound or trail. He compared it to a dim star and watched it fade into the distance. Although he initially thought it might be a high-flying jet, he had no way to confirm it. The report concluded it was a normal aircraft, but the witness noted no other air traffic in the area.
The testimony was detailed and the observer answered all questions from an official questionnaire. There were no photos or confirmed witnesses, but the report was sent to NICAP, a civilian committee dedicated to the study of unidentified aerial phenomena. Despite the official evaluation, the object's description didn't easily fit conventional categories, generating some doubt about its true nature.
