Summary

In August 1963, a witness in Morehead, Kentucky, observed three unidentified objects associated with a single-engine jet believed to be military. The objects were attached to or flying alongside the aircraft, one near the tail, another near the port wingtip, and another near the starboard wingtip. Although they did not emit light, they appeared to move at the same speed as the jet. The witness estimated the objects to be between 50 and 100 feet from the jet. The observation lasted about 30 seconds before the aircraft disappeared behind a hill. The nearby Wright-Patterson Air Force Base had low-level test routes passing through the area, leading to speculation that the objects might be part of an experiment.

The official report could not clearly identify the objects, though it suggested they might be related to an air test. The possibility of additional aircraft or balloons was ruled out. The witness did not use optical instruments and there were no other witnesses present. Despite investigations, no definitive conclusion was reached. The case remains one of many where the true nature of the sighting remains unknown, serving as an example of how military operations can lead to unexplained UFO reports.
