🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1963, a witness in Muskallonge Lake, Michigan, reported a luminous object moving northeast. They described it as twice as bright as the Echo satellite and moving at 10 times its speed. Despite its intense brightness, no photos were taken, and the report concluded it was an aircraft. The object appeared at 70 degrees elevation in the southwest and disappeared at 30 degrees in the northeast, maintaining a steady flight for 1½ minutes.
The report includes details about the object's appearance, such as its color and brightness, and notes that there were no sounds or conflicts with aircraft observation. Although other possibilities like balloons or astronomical phenomena were considered, the official conclusion pointed to a conventional aircraft. The witness also noted that the object did not behave like a known object, which generated some uncertainty in the official evaluation.
