🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1963, an observer in Nikiski, Alaska, spotted a luminous object the size and color of a star with a bluish-red tint. Initially thought to be an aircraft, it was observed for two minutes through an 8X30 binocular before disappearing among trees in the southeast direction. The weather conditions were ideal: clear visibility with no haze. The report suggests it could have been a balloon or an astronomical phenomenon, though no definitive conclusion was reached.
