🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1963, a woman in Texas discovered a mysterious 11-foot-wide heart painted on her lawn. The symbol was a deep purple, phosphorescent under the sun, and smelled like acid. Though the object that left it was never seen, the heart remained intact after two heavy rains and turned into black dust over time. A deputy sheriff took photos and samples, but what seemed like a supernatural phenomenon had a more earthly explanation.
The official investigation concluded the heart was not a UFO phenomenon, but the eggs of a grass fly species. Although no chemical analysis was conducted, experts were convinced of this explanation. The woman, intrigued by the case, even contacted Project Bluebook, but in the end, it was clarified that nothing extraterrestrial was behind the glowing heart. Despite the explanation, the case remains a curious example of how the inexplicable can have an unexpected solution.
