🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1963, a civilian in Chicago reported seeing an unidentified object moving northeast. The object was observed for three minutes and described as bright orange and perfectly round. Although no photos were taken, the witness reported that the object disappeared behind some trees. The sighting was recorded under Project 10073, a government initiative to investigate UFO reports.
The official evaluation concluded the object could be a balloon, though other possibilities were not ruled out. The report notes the object was classified as "ECHO I," a designation suggesting tentative analysis. Despite the brief nature of the sighting, the clear description remains intriguing for researchers of unexplained aerial phenomena.
