In September 1963, a witness in Corvallis, Oregon, observed a white, round object moving in a zigzag pattern at 45 degrees above the horizon. The object, seen for eight minutes, disappeared into the haze. Observers, a mechanical engineer and a former Air Force pilot, did not recognize the flight pattern of any known aircraft. The Air Force attributed it to atmospheric conditions, but the case remains intriguing.
