🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1963, a witness in San Diego observed an object described as a "sidereal object" with erratic movements and blinking. The phenomenon was seen over several nights, with reports even to the FAA and a local radio station. Although initially thought to be a satellite, the Air Force linked it to the passage of the ECHO I satellite, whose schedule matched the sightings. The report includes details on location, direction, and behavior of the object, as well as attempts to document it with astronomical equipment.
The case was analyzed by the Air Force, which considered conventional explanations such as satellites and optical phenomena. Despite multiple coordinated observations, no definitive conclusion was reached. The witness, a young amateur astronomer, meticulously recorded the event and sought answers from scientific and military institutions. The object, named "SOL," displayed characteristics that defied known physics laws, such as abrupt directional changes and regular blinking.
