🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An object was reported in 1963 by an observer from the USS Falgout, located at the coordinates 40.00N 174.00W. The sighting described a bright object resembling a star or planet, seen 15 degrees above the horizon. The object moved 60 degrees across the sky in 45 seconds toward the northeast, creating some uncertainty about its nature. Although possibilities like meteors or balloons were considered, there was not enough data to reach a definitive conclusion. This case was categorized as insufficient for evaluation.
The lack of photographs and the brief observation complicated identification. The report was shared with multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA, reflecting the importance given to UFO sightings during the Cold War. Despite its limitations, the case remains an example of how unexplained observations were recorded and shared at the time.
