🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1963, five aircraft reported observing an object that changed brightness in the skies over Nebraska and Iowa. Pilots described lights that alternated between bright and dim, moving in opposite directions and at different angles. Initially thought to be a meteor, there was no trace of disintegration or other typical astronomical indicators. The involved aircraft included commercial and military flights, adding credibility to the testimonies.
Confusion grew as reports indicated the object moved both north to south and south to north, sometimes simultaneously. Weather conditions, with dense clouds and fog, hindered any ground observations. Despite the lack of physical evidence, pilots agreed on the trajectory and behavior of the object. The official conclusion pointed to a meteor, but the data was inconclusive, leaving open the possibility of an unknown phenomenon or even an unidentified object.
