🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On November 21, 1963, a US aircraft reported an unidentified aerial object in the Atlantic. The plane, flying at around 35,000 feet, observed for 10 minutes an object with swept wings and a high tail, features not matching known commercial aircraft. Military personnel assumed it could be a Russian aircraft following their flight, but no definitive identification was made. The object disappeared into a cloud layer, complicating any attempt at interception or confirmation.
This case was shared with multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA, indicating concerns about possible aerial intrusions into US airspace. Despite multiple transmissions and analysis, the report concluded the object was not a UFO, but likely a conventional aircraft that could not be identified. However, the lack of photographs and the ambiguity in the description leave many questions about the nature of the observed object.
