🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A spherical object was sighted in the Atlantic on December 9, 1963, at coordinates 40.20N 17.40W. According to the report, the object emitted a pulsating white glow and showed no red or green lights, which are common in conventional aircraft. It was moving at high speed to the east, at a medium altitude. Despite being reported by two observers, the object could not be identified with certainty, and it was concluded that there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation.
The report, filed under Project 10073, was submitted by a military source and did not include photographs. The duration of the sighting was also not recorded, further complicating the analysis. Despite the lack of information, the case was distributed to multiple military and intelligence agencies, including the CIA, suggesting that the phenomenon generated some official interest.
