🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1963, a professor at Linfield College in Oregon observed a bright object that appeared stationary before moving rapidly. The detailed description included a 30-60 second still phase followed by fast lateral motion. The witness, a science academic, ruled out conventional explanations like planes, balloons, or celestial bodies. The bright light and unusual behavior left experts puzzled. The Air Force classified it as "unidentified," unable to find a logical explanation.
Military and scientific authorities reviewed the case, including Dr. J. Allen Hynek, but could not solve the mystery. Possibilities like solar reflections, plane landings, or illuminated balloons were considered but did not fit all details. The professor's testimony, combined with the lack of alternative evidence, kept the case in the "unidentified" category. Despite the time passed, the phenomenon remains unexplained, adding another chapter to the history of UFO sightings in the U.S.
