In August 1992, Russia launched an intensive search for a SU-27 fighter that had disappeared during a planned flight. Helicopters, aircraft, and ground teams worked tirelessly in the area where the plane vanished from radar. Although the pilot was unresponsive, it was noted that the aircraft remained visible on radar up to an altitude of 7,500 meters. The strange part was that, despite the efforts, no traces of the crash or the pilot were found.
Russian authorities highlighted that a civilian aircraft had been in the crash area, raising some concern. Additionally, the emergency radio beacon was not activated, making the search even more difficult. This case remains a mystery, as no clear explanation was found for what happened to the fighter or its pilot. The lack of evidence and absence of communication add an air of mystery to this aerial incident.
