🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1963, Detroit, Michigan, became the epicenter of several UFO reports that captured the attention of both the scientific community and the public. A local resident wrote a letter to the Department of Defense describing an object seen in Chicago that was spinning with bright lights in square windows. Although no photos were taken and no physical evidence was found, the witness insisted it was not swamp gas or conventional aircraft. The letter, filled with concern for government transparency, highlighted the need to release information to prevent panic, recalling Orson Welles' Martian invasion broadcast. Despite being classified as "information only," the detailed descriptions and insistence on the non-terrestrial nature of the phenomenon make it a fascinating document for UFO researchers.
