🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1964, a very bright white light was observed in Shark River, New Jersey, moving rapidly toward the southwest. The object was seen for 15 to 20 seconds, with an erratic course and at an unknown altitude. The sighting occurred under overcast skies, complicating identification. Two different locations reported the same phenomenon, adding interest to the case. However, no photos or radar data were involved, and the information was deemed insufficient for a conclusive evaluation.
The nature of the object remains a mystery. Possible explanations such as a balloon, an aircraft with landing lights, or an astronomical event were dismissed. Although a bright yellow light through the clouds was considered, no sound or signs of combustion were reported. The case was shared with several military and air defense units, but no definitive conclusion was reached. The lack of clear evidence makes it one of those cases that defy logic and remain in the shadow of the unexplained.
