🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1964, an observer in the Pacific reported a luminous object descending from the sky. The object initially appeared whitish green, turned white, then red before disappearing above a cloud deck at around 4500 feet. Although several possibilities were considered, such as balloons, aircraft, or meteors, no definitive conclusion was reached. The report, classified under Project 10073, was evaluated as "unknown," indicating that the data was insufficient to identify the phenomenon with certainty. The sighting aligned with typical meteor descriptions, but the lack of photos or follow-up complicated the assessment.
