Summary

In February 1964, two students from St. Anselm's College in Manchester, New Hampshire, observed two bright objects in the western sky for over two and a half hours. Timothy O’Neil and David Van Buskirk, student photographers, noticed the objects while returning to their dormitory and quickly took photographs using press cameras. The objects were described as large, white spheres moving slowly toward the northwest. Although Venus and Jupiter were near the reported position, the observers insisted they were not planets due to their size and movement. The weather was clear, allowing for a prolonged and detailed observation.

The photos, though not showing stars or planets, clearly captured the objects. The report includes astronomical and photographic analysis, noting that the objects remained visible for a duration matching the observation time. Despite initial doubts, investigator Raymond E. Fowler, a member of UFO study groups, concluded the observers were reliable and the report genuine. This case is part of a series of 1960s reports that fueled public and scientific interest in unidentified aerial phenomena.
