🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1964, a civilian in Montgomery, Alabama, observed two bright objects in the sky. One was star-shaped and smaller, while the other, larger object appeared pointed on top and flat on the bottom. Both remained stationary for 40 minutes. Their description matched the positions of Venus and Jupiter, which were visible in the night sky. An experienced retired officer confirmed the objects were celestial bodies and not aircraft or balloons.
The report concluded the objects were Venus and Jupiter, whose brightness was due to the clear sky after a cold front passed. Although initially puzzling, the investigation found no unexplained elements. This case illustrates how astronomical phenomena can be mistaken for unidentified objects.
